'Not talked about enough': Mum claims the secret to having it all is 'buying your village' and explains why
We can all agree being a working parent can seem like a never-ending list of things to juggle and stay on top of, from washing to cooking and cleaning, on top of drop offs, pick ups and your job.
Obviously, this is where having a village comes in to help, but for a lot of people, that 'village' of extended family isn't always close by.
One mum has figured out a way to do it all, admitting she 'buys' her village – a decision she has no regrets about.

"I feel like this isn't talked about enough and is somewhat frowned upon or makes mums feel less than for not being able to 'do it all' themselves, but I'm telling you buying my village is one of the best things I've ever done for myself AND my family," Casey captioned the clip on TikTok.
In the video, which has been watched over 10,000 times, she explains why and how she's done it.
"Every single successful working mum that I've seen, who seems to like, have it all and have all the balance figured out, has one thing in common: they're not doing it alone," Casey begins.

"Yes, I know we've all heard about this village that we're supposed to be building, but what about buying your village? I'm gonna tell you four ways that I've paid for my village that is quite literally saving me in this season right now."
For Casey it started with babysitters, then it was hiring a cleaner for the house.
"I decided that I actually hate freaking cleaning my house, and so I have the means too. So, I hired a house cleaner," she continued.
The next things she's done are getting her kids' snacks sent to her house and joining a program for female entrepreneurs, joking that she's gone as far as buying her friends too.

But the video really hit home for a lot of other mums who shared their experience with buying a village – which is becoming more common.
"Bought my village too! Whatever works!" replied one mum.
Another woman commented, "Buying a village, especially when I was a full time single mom, validated how much work I was doing as a SAHM before."
Obviously not everyone can afford to bring in help for everything, but one mum revealed the way she's got some additional help that fits in with her budget.
"I can't afford a cleaner every week, but I was able to find a cleaner that I could pay $100 every two weeks just to clean my bathrooms and mop my floors," replied one mum.
