Boy's odd Christmas wish comes true and it's winning the internet

When Morgan Deichert's nephew asked for his favourite condiment for Christmas, she didn't question the odd request.

Instead, she made the little Sawyer's wish come true and filmed his priceless reaction, as he excitedly got to the bottom of an empty lamp box to find the lone bottle of ketchup.

"When your nephew asks for ketchup for Christmas, you get him ketchup for Christmas," she captioned the short clip posted to Twitter.

The sweet video has had five million views already as well as over 80,000 retweets and almost 400K likes.

People replied with memes, encouragement and stories of their own love for the tomato sauce.

"This is such an amazing thing something so simple making him happy," one person replied.

"I got ketchup for my bday one year because I asked for it just like this kid," another revealed.

While one person suggested Heinz snap Sawyer up as a brand ambassador, telling the brand "Your move!" and adding the hash-tag "Ketchup Kid".

The company responded, saying: "2019 is bound to be a good year with Sawyer by our side. DM us, @MorganDeichert. Let’s plan a party."

Logan Deichert made sure Ellen DeGeneres hear about it as well, tagging her in a post and described their nephew is the Greatest Of All Time (goat).

Seemingly capitalising on the little guy's cuteness, Morgan said followers were welcome to donate to a fund to get Sawyer more ketchup.
