The Aldi item that will have Aussie mums in a frenzy

Mums, brace yourselves: Aldi’s next Special Buy is going to blow all those that came before it out of the water.

The discount supermarket chain’s twice-weekly Special Buy events never fail to whip up a frenzy. Just last week, a range of $99 chairs sold out in seconds.

This time around, it’s a product kids all over the country will be offering to do extra chores for: ride-on cars.

The 6V Mercedes-Benz Ride-On Car will go on sale for $199 - that’s $30 less than it usually retails for - this Saturday 23 September.

As if that isn’t enough cause for excitement, a 6V Caterpillar Tractor with Dump Bucket will also be available for the same price.

“Electronic Ride Ons continue to be a popular item when sold at ALDI stores, especially at an incredible price,” a statement from the company reads.

No kidding - you can definitely expect to see a few of these zooming around your neighbourhood next week. 

The cars come with working headlights and horns and can travel at 4km per hour in forward and reverse.

ALDI advises keen shoppers to get in early. You know what that means: you want to be on the premises with your game face on by the time the doors open.
