Woman sends resume for job with glaring error
Applying for a job is nerve-wracking enough, but imagine noticing a glaring error on your resume just minutes after hitting 'send'.
This is exactly what happened to a woman who recently applied for a job only to notice the mistake when it was too late.
The woman shared the moment on TikTok @Marissasid21 and the distress on her face is clear. The video has been posted with the caption: "You think you're having a bad day? I just sent this resume without changing the template picture."
Looking distraught with her hand over her mouth she points viewers towards the photo section of her CV and the photo clearly isn't her.

In filling out the template, she had forgotten to replace the pre-loaded pic.
TikTok viewers sympathised with the young woman over the error, with many pointing out the humour of the oversight.

One woman joked: "Strength: Attention to detail."
"I work in Career Services," said another. "Can I add this TikTok to my presentation on the dangers of using resume templates?"
"Girl, not to make the situation worse but I haven't stopped laughing for 10 minutes," commented one amused viewer.

"Lol please don't use a template even with the right picture," said another.
One follower said some online job application systems automatically reject resumes with photos and advised her to remove the photo all together and send it in again, but to "use another email".

"If it makes you feel better I work in recruiting and one time a girl sent an entire pdf of the book The Secret instead of her resume," recalled another recruiter.
One recruiter assured the woman most HR employees would understand the situation.
"I would understand if you were honest and quickly sent a revised copy," they assured her.
"Don't ever put your picture on a resume for safety reasons," advised another.
