'I Woke Up Like This': Why Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins still sets 'a million' alarms

'I Woke Up Like This' is 9Honey's new series, where we remove the filters from everyday life and bare all for a much-needed reality check.

This week, it's none other than the Yellow Wiggle herself, Emma Watkins:

How many alarms do you set?

"Between seven and 10. I'm so worried that I won't wake up, even though I'm a morning person I have a million alarms going just in case. I'm really good at waking up, I just get really worried that I'll sleep in accidentally, especially with jet lag."

Tea or coffee?

"Tea!"

TV or radio, podcast or silence?

"I like silence, I'm straight into having a shower then getting my makeup on and going."

What do you eat for breakfast?

"I normally have scrambled eggs, steamed veggies and a bit of an avocado."

How long does it take you to get out the door?

"Depends if I have a show or not, but usually I can get ready and get everything sorted in an hour. Half an hour if I don't need to do much."

Any unusual rituals or habits?

"I wish I had a weird one - I like having baths in the morning."

What's the one thing you never have time for in the morning?

"I just never have time to paint my nails. It's the one thing I always wish I could do, but there's just never time."

What's the one thing you always do?

"I'm pretty easy, so I guess brushing my teeth."
