Most kids dream of visiting Disney World, especially those who live in the US and know they’re that much closer to the happiest place on earth.

But for Isiah Tuckett, 14, those dreams didn't look like they'd ever become a reality.

One of three children, Isiah's parents couldn't afford the high cost of airfares, accommodation and all the other expenses associated with a trip to Disney World for a family of five.

It wasn't until Isiah discovered a passion for baking that he realised he could take things into his own hands, kick-starting his culinary career when he baked for a high school graduation party.

In the kitchen since he was seven, Isiah took his first paid cupcake order when he was just 12 and soon began taking regular orders for all sorts of baked goods.

He even earned enough money and fame to start his own bakery, a stroke of good luck coming when the only other bakery in almost 50km closed down, giving him a monopoly on the local baking business.

In just one year he had saved enough money to finally make his Disney World dream come true, and not just for himself.

Packing up his parents, siblings, sister-in-law and nephew for the trip, Isiah paid for the flights, hotel and Disney World tickets for the whole family, giving them a vacation they had never been able to afford before.

“I felt like it should be a family event,” he told KARE, admitting he was surprised he was able to save up for it so quickly.

Selling cupcakes at $30 per dozen, he's now regularly filling orders in the hundreds for everything from birthday parties and weddings, to graduations, reunions and even funerals.

In one weekend he baked a whopping 750 cupcakes for a single high school prom, and has collected several champion ribbons from local fairs and competitions.

Now he's hoping to keep up the success, putting away money for a pick up truck he hopes to buy for his sixteenth birthday.

“I have a dream for a pickup truck myself, but he’ll probably end up getting one before I get mine," joked his father.
