Crown Princess Mary's daughter Princess Josephine makes education change

Crown Princess Mary's youngest daughter Princess Josephine is set to make a huge change to her education.

The Danish royal court announced on Friday that the young princess will be starting at a new school, while her twin brother Prince Vincent will remain at their old one.

"HRH Princess Josephine starts the new school year in the 6th grade at Kildegård Privatskole. The princess starts her new school next week and is looking forward to further schooling," read the statement.

Kildegård Privatskole is based in the Gentofte Municipality, and is located close to Tranegårdskolen, the school that Josephine previously attended.

The Danish royal court has not provided any reason or context as to why the 12-year-old decided to uproot her school life and begin anew.

Josephine is the youngest of Crown Princess Mary and her husband Crown Prince Frederik's children, who also share Prince Christian, 17, and Princess Isabella, 16, along with Vincent.

This is not the royal family unit's first foray with changing schools, with Mary and Frederik pulling Christian out of his enrolment at boarding school Herlufscholm in June last year, following the release of a documentary that claimed there was a culture of bullying and violence at the school.

Christian will be finishing the final year of his secondary education at Ordrup Gymnasium

Meanwhile, Mary and Frederik's nephew, Count Nikolai of Denmark, has made Australia his new home as he began studying at the University of Technology, Sydney this semester.

He has moved to Sydney with his girlfriend, Benedikte Thoustrup, and they are expected to stay until their course wraps up in late November.
