Woman encourages people to stop using the term ‘cougar’

A writer is campaigning for the term “cougar” to be dropped - claiming that older women deserve a more appropriate label.

51-year-old Bibi Lynch appeared on the UK’s This Morning to chat about using a more empowering term to describe women such as Madonna and Brigitte Macron, who are proud to be dating younger men. Instead, she wants them to be called “WHIPs: women who are hot, intelligent, and in their prime.”

“With cougar the men are prey, WHIPs felt funnier, smarter and sexier,” she explained.

“There seems to be a need to label it. Since I hit my fifties the men approaching me are not my age but younger.”

She explained that she believes her age is attractive to younger men, but she wants the stigma attached to women with younger boyfriend to be questioned. 

Recently Brigitte Trogneux addressed publicity around the age gap between her and husband, French president Emmanuel Macron. The 65-year-old has been married to the politician for ten years.
