Sydney's lockdown has been a trying time for all — as is any COVID-19 lockdown for any area.

For some, lockdown has been a welcome pause from the everyday hubbub to slow down and spend time with their family.

For others, meanwhile, it's an awful, lonely, monotonous curse.

For one Mosman-based family, however, it's made them the target of their neighbour's ire.

In an image posted to the Mosman Living Facebook group, an anonymous member shared a letter of complaint they received from their neighbour.

With the words "NOISE COMPLAINT" highlighted and emboldened at the top of the letter, the homeowners were dressed down by their neighbour for letting their kids outside to play too early in the morning.

"Dear Neighbour," the letter began. "Please refrain [from] letting your kids out to the backyard before 9am."

"Congratulations on your renovations. Your neighbours have endured many months of construction noise and now we are being disturbed by your kids in the backyard early in the morning.

"We wish to request that you keep your young kids indoors until 9am," the letter continued.

"There have been many occasions in recent times when [your] kids are out in the backyard early in the morning and they have been very loud and noisy. They are disturbing the peace in the neighbourhood and waking people up."

The letter then goes on to say that the family's son in particular is very loud.

"Sometimes they are out very early around 7.30am and unfortunately they have very loud voices. Your son in particular is always screaming [at the] top of his voice."

"Kids will be kids but I'm simply asking if they can go out later so your neighbours are not [awoken] too early in the morning.

"Thank you for your co-operation and appreciate your kind understanding," the letter concludes, before being signed off by "Your Concerned Neighbours".

This isn't the first noise complaint locked-down locals have received.

Earlier today, a "struggling" HSC student left a desperate message for their bagpiping neighbour.
