Childminder charged with attempted murder after nanny cam captures abuse
Hannah James
A mother who became worried about marks on her baby caught the nanny abusing her daughter on the same day she set up a nanny cam.
Annemarie Theron, 31, who lives in Namibia with her husband Johan, became suspicious of their childminder, Nicolin Hoeses, when they repeatedly found injuries on baby Laila. In July Annemarie found bruises on the soles of the nine-month-old's feet, and last month saw bruises on her neck and shoulders. She also had a bruise above her eye after what Hoeses described as a fall.
When Johan spent some time at home, he noticed Laila seemed frightened of Hoeses.
