The exact time of the day your partner is most likely to cheat

There are a lot of signs you can keep an eye out for if you suspect your partner of cheating on you.

Lipstick on collars, hiding or deleting phone messages, suddenly caring how they look...

Now there is another sign you can add to your list.

According to a new survey by Illicit Encounters, partners are most likely to cheat at 6.45pm on a Friday.

It makes sense when you think of the number of activities that can be scheduled during that time -- after work drinks, trips to the gym.

The second most favoured time to cheat is Tuesday night.

The survey also revealed many cheaters will act out on both Tuesday and Friday nights, with two nights per week a popular schedule for affairs.

"What this new research shows is that cheats are creatures of habit," Illicit Encounters spokesperson Christian Grant said. "They have strict routines, which they tend to stick to when they are seeing their lover."

Grant warns that if your partner tends to go out a lot on Friday nights, this should "raise suspicion".

"If your partner regularly goes out with work colleagues on a Friday night, this should raise suspicions, particularly if they always go out with you the following night," he says.

He also says to beware the Saturday night “guilt date”, explaining that cheaters who choose to act out on a Friday night tend to want to take their partners out on a Saturday night to appease their feelings of guilt.

"The Saturday night date is partly due to guilt over the Friday night liaison," he says.
