TikToker reveals truth behind viral 'cheating boyfriend' video: 'He never even knew I made it'
The woman behind a 'cheating' boyfriend video that went viral has admitted it was a fake, saying it is the third such clip she has released about her relationship.
Gabby Gleeson, who shares videos on TikTok @gabgleeson_, recently shared a video showing a rash that had broken out on her arm and shared a dramatic explanation.
"Found out my boyfriend was cheating on me because I'm allergic to [haircare product] olaplex and as soon as he came over I broke out into hives," she explained in the overlay of the video, which has since been viewed seven million times.

She claimed she is allergic to olaplex and her rash was evidence her boyfriend had cheated. TikTok
At the time, TikTok followers were quick to defend her boyfriend against the accusation, explaining the substance is found in many products and it didn't necessary mean he was cheating.
In a subsequent video, however, Gabby admits it was all a set up.
"Me telling my boyfriend about the THIRD fake scandal i made about our relationship that I've posted on TikTok that has gotten over a million views," she writes in the clip.

"He never even knew i made the olaplex vid whoops. I don't know what olaplex even is lowkey, should i buy it even if my hair isn't damaged??"
This video has been viewed more than half a million times, which means there are still approximately 6.5 million people who believe the incident was real.
And instead of lambasting the young woman for her deceit, her TikTok followers launch into a robust conversation about the merits of Olaplex.

"Olaplex saved my post-Covid hair and I'm not kidding. I'll die on the Olaplex hill. I love it so much," writes one.
"Oleplex is better for damaged hair its a bonding product line. using the oil would be good but you dont need anything else because too much protein in," adds another.
"Olaplex is life. I preach and recommend it almost daily!" another comments.
She admits to sharing as many as three fake videos about the demise of her relationships. TikTok
"I bought olaplex last week and these comments are making me feel like I made the right choice," adds another.
Suffice to say, the next time Gabby decides to post a video about the demise of her relationship it is unlikely to be believed, so let's hope for her sake their union lasts.
