Kayleigh thought she was posing for a photo. Her boyfriend had other ideas
Kayleigh Fahey thought she was posing for the ultimate Instagram shot.
While visiting a park in their upstate New York hometown, her boyfriend James Regatuso had stopped her in front of a beautiful waterfall and said they should take some photos.
James instructed the nurse practitioner to stand with her back to him and her arms outstretched, telling her to shuffle back and forth so he could get the image just right.
Little did Kayleigh know these diligent instructions were, in fact, a decoy.

"Never did I think it would end up being the most meaningful moment of our lives,” Kayleigh tells ABC.
The couple first began dating in 2004, but separated for three years before reuniting in 2015.
It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say theirs was a picture-perfect engagement.
