Boyfriend laughs live on camera as influencer girlfriend lies about diet regimen
Boyfriends beware, there's a new TikTok prank designed to test your relationship.
In the 'influencer challenge', women film themselves discussing their ridiculously strict diet and exercise routines in front of their partners.
The diet and fitness regimens are fake; the point is to capture how their partner reacts to the lie.

Angel Mapes wanted to see how quickly her partner would react to her 'lifestyle changes'. TikTok
In one video, Florida woman Angel Mapes shared her fake diet and exercise regimen, telling her followers she had "changed" her eating habits completely in the last month.
"I've cut out carbs," Mapes said, adding she no longer ate "any sugar at all - no candy, no popcorn."
While she listed all the ways she'd changed her lifestyle, Mapes' partner looked on confused, unaware he was being filmed.
Mapes claimed to 'give up alcohol' despite sitting next to a glass of wine. TikTok
He could be seen looking up from his work laptop while she filmed the video, turning to the side to conceal his expression.
When Mapes claimed she'd "not had alcohol for a month" — despite filming with a glass of wine in her hand — her boyfriend began laughing quietly.
He also did a double-take when she said she'd been "waking up early".
Mapes added that she aimed to walk "between 8,000 and 10,000 steps a day", yet revealed she only hit 1,000 steps the day prior.
As she finished describing her exercise routine, Mapes' boyfriend spat out his drink and laughed loudly.
Mapes' boyfriend burst into a fit of laughter before apologising for interrupting her video. TikTok
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he whispered, bewildered by her inaccurate claims.
In a follow-up post, Mapes explained to her followers, "Everything I was saying was lies."
"I made sure to eat sugar and carbs in front of him all day so he knew I wasn't dieting."
Mapes' video received more than 1.4 million likes and over 18,7000 comments, with social media users marvelling at the prank.
"Her really was trying to make an attempt to not listen to the untruth being told, but the 8-10k steps to him out!" laughed one user.
He was not impressed with the fake regime to say the least. TikTok
"He's like, I soooo know you're lying," wrote another.
Someone else commented: "I died laughing when he spit that water everywhere and the way he felt bad."
In a comment, Mapes admitted, "I was trying so hard not to laugh…. he spit the water and I was done."
