'Are you kidding me?': Bird targets bride as she recites wedding vows

A Florida couple has had their wedding ceremony interrupted by an uninvited guest that pooped on the bride during their vows.

The gatecrasher was a bird that bombed the bride while it was flying over.

In a video of the incident – which has been shared on TikTok by the couple's videographer (@chiolafilms) – we see the couple holding hands, exchanging vows.

"The past year and a half, you have been working so hard to make sure we can build the home of our dreams," the bride says, before pausing to wipe something off her shoulder.

Her groom then attempts to help her before they both realise what has happened.

"Oh my God. Are you kidding me? Yeah, it s--t on me!" the bride says, before she joins her groom in laughter as their amused family and friends watch on.

The groom adds, "It smells. It smells pretty bad!"

Viewers were quick to explain a bird pooping on you is a sign of good luck in many cultures, a fact shared in the video's captions.

"It's definitely good luck!!!" one TikToker commented.

"It is good luck!!!! unfortunate timing tho," another confirmed.

The videographer then joked: "Lol it's almost like the bird tried sabotaging their wedding."

In folklore, bird poop is often associated with luck and prosperity, according to Chipper Birds.

Chinese and Italian cultures certainly believe in this.

If a bird poops on your head, that is considered particularly fortuitous.
