Sporting couple Arina Rodionova and Ty Vickery announce bombshell with bizarre video
Tennis player Arina Rodionova and ex-AFL star Ty Vickery dropped a bombshell in the form of a 30-second-long video.
"Hey guys, we have a quick announcement to make. We're getting divorced," Rodionova said.
She continued in a casual manner, "We've been separated for about a year. Friends and family know but we just wanted to let the wider community know about this situation. Thank you."

Vickery, who was in the middle of eating a banana, added, "We're good. We're good with each other and we wish each other the best. Thanks for the support."
They then engaged in an awkward handshake, with Vickery meeting Rodionova's open hand with the banana, and the former couple erupting in laughter.
Rodionova explained further in the caption, "Life happens. We have lots of love for each other but sometimes it's just not enough."
The pair had been married for nine years, with their anniversary only being last month.

They shared the news of their split as the Russian-born tennis player left the country, following her second-round Australian Open exit.
She took to her Instagram stories, sharing a picture of her feet propped up inside a plane.
"Bye Australia, love you always," she said before adding as a side note, "Also you guys should be real grateful I went through the breakup without posting a million of inspirational quotes on Insta. You are welcome."

Rodionova and Vickery tied the knot just hours after the tennis player had scored a semi-final win in the Australian Open wildcard qualifier tournament.
She beat Storm Sanders at 11:10am and less than five hours later was walking down the aisle at 4pm.
The match was in fact originally scheduled for the afternoon, coinciding with the wedding, but help from the organisers and agreement from her opponent meant she could have the best of both worlds.
