Flight diverted after wife discovers husband’s affair mid-air

A woman discovered her husband was having an affair after using his thumb to unlock his phone mid-flight while he was sleeping.

On finding the evidence, she was so furious she began to physically attack him. According to the Times of India, the man’s wife fought back against the flight crew’s attempts to diffuse the situation.

When things started really “getting out of hand”, the pilot made the unusual decision to divert the Doha-Bali flight to Chennai, in India.

There, the husband, wife and their small son – all from Iran – were left at the airport while the other passengers continued on to Bali.

Later, since there was no security issue, the family was put on a flight to Kuala Lumpur and then back to Doha.

"In respect of passenger privacy we do not comment on individual cases." Qatar Airways said in a statement, avoiding all puns about excess baggage and disarming doors.
