Woman's confusion after DNA test reveals she could be three years older than she thought

A woman looking into her family history has been left confused after finding out she might actually be three years older than she believed.

Lydia Ellen said she used her birthday money to sign up for Ancestry DNA to find out more about her heritage.

But after taking a DNA sample and filling in her details, she was told there was nobody with her name and birth date.

She then went on to find her medical records "in a cupboard" which indicated she had had her first vaccinations before she was even born.

Lydia explained what happened on TikTok, with the post notching up millions of views.

She explained she hoped for "cool" results but shared her videos of what unfolded.

"Me putting in my birth date," she said.

"Ancestry saying there's no Lydia Ellen with my birth date."

"Me finding my medical records in a cupboard and seeing I was 18 months old when I received my first vaccination in July 1997.

"When I wasn't born until May 1998...?"

"My medical records suggesting I was born in November 1995.

"Meaning I would be 26 this year instead of 23."

"Surely it's just a mistake."

Followers were left desperate for answers, but so far Lydia has not explained.

Comments have now been turned off, but according to The Sun, one person said the cliffhanger "gave them chills" but others were more cynical, with one saying, "sorry but there is no way."

"Three years as a young child is a huge difference," they added. "Imagine saying you were four but you were actually seven."
