If you've always longed to work for Her Majesty, now is your chance. Queen Elizabeth is looking for a dedicated employee who is willing to live at Buckingham Palace and look after her horses.

The successful candidate will also join in with ceremonial events by assisting the coachman with driving the carriages during special ceremonies.

The job application is asking for a 'liveried helper' who will live in the luxury Royal Mews.

Caring for the royal horses can be glamorous, but the role also involves mucking out, cleaning saddlery and general stable maintenance.

Candidates will need experience caring for horses in every way.

The job ad mentions not only free accommodation but 33 holiday days, free meals and a 15 per cent employer contribution to the pension scheme.

"The standards you'll aim for will provide the biggest challenge and the greatest reward," the job ad continues. "After all, the results of your work will be seen by a global audience."
