12 Hacks of Christmas: Make your own advent calendar
My children are the biggest fusspots when it comes to advent calendars. None are quite to their liking.
There was the Cadbury Freddo Frog advent calendar that had too many plain chocolate frogs for one child and not enough for the other. Then there's the fact my daughter doesn't even like chocolate and can't find a lolly one to her liking.
Since I have been making my own advent calendars for them, the lead up to Christmas has been more harmonious and less sugar-filled.
Not only can I customise them to my children individual tastes, they are fully reusable. You simply pack them away for the next year and fill them back up again.
