The worst possible thing that can happen in an electronics store happened to this guy

It’s every good little consumer’s worst nightmare: accidentally damaging merchandise worth a sizeable chunk of your annual salary.

This guy lived the nightmare at an HBH Woolacotts electronics store in St Austell, Cornwall.

CCTV footage uploaded to HBH Woolacotts’ YouTube channel shows the poor fellow bending to inspect a TV, and then… well, you can guess the rest.

More than £5000 ($8000) was reportedly damaged in one clumsy moment, including one of those fancy-schmancy curved TV sets.

The store’s assistant manager Mike Collins told the Plymouth Herald that “staff were devastated when it happened”.

Assuming this video isn’t an elaborate set-up for publicity, the store is ultimately to blame for the damage: what kind of sensible person displays TVs like that?
