This dog has far too much faith in its jumping ability

Sometimes taking a leap of faith can backfire big time.

This poor dog learnt that lesson the hard way.

The excited little woofer was aiming to clear this gate in order to play with the person wielding the camera.

But the gate – much like life – got in the way.

The pooch jumped just a little too early and smacked its jaw into the metal barrier.

Had he waited just a second later to leap into the air, he might just have made it.

So I guess the moral of the story is to procrastinate.

And while you might just thing this is a classic funny “fail” video, it really is a grim lesson about life itself.

Because the other take away message here is what can happen when you just believe in yourself too much.

It’s a cruel lesson in why you should never have faith in yourself and that you will ultimately fail everything.

You have to admit that you just can’t jump that high.

Maybe it’s time to lover your expectations.

Oh maybe it’s just a funny video and we’re just in a weird, dark place between weekends – it might be time to go out and buy a custard danish.
