Terrifying app sees Ring girl crawl into your home

If you are the kind of person for whom horror movies just aren't scary enough – behold the future.

A terrifying new “augmented reality” app from designer Abhishek Singh lets ghost girl Samara Morgan from horror flick The Ring step from the TV to the real world.

The program sees a digital recreation of the black-haired girl mimic the iconic scene from the movie in which she crawls out of a television screen.

Viewed on a smartphone screen, the girl not only lands on your own living room floor, but tracks and follows you, just in case you needed extra fuel for nightmares.

The app has not yet been released to the public, presumably because Mr Singh has to wait for an exorcism to be conducted.
