Tattoo of a phoenix mesmerises the internet as it appears to fly

This is one tattoo so cool that even your grandmother wouldn't mind it.

Footage of a phoenix back tattoo is going absolutely bananas on social media, with more than 37 million people viewing the clip since it was posted on the Tattoo Design Art Studio Andre Facebook page on March 1.

Just to make it clear, 37 million is a big number.

There's only about 23 million Australians on this wide brown country, so it's like everyone in our nation watched this clip at least once, and then showed it to their mum (who had also already seen it).

Now, you may think that it's weird to watch a tattoo, because tatts are inanimate drawings.

But this one moves.

As the tattooed woman moves her shoulders, so too do the wings of their majestic firebird.

The shading and design of the bird makes the flapping look hyper realistic, which perhaps explains why so many people have watched this clip.
