64-year-old Bulgarian man breaks world record by swimming in a bright red sack

We’d like to bring you the story of a man who pretty much embodies #goals.

His name is Yane Petkov, he’s 64-years-old and he’s a Guinness World Record holder.

This month he set the record for the world’s longest swim with bound hands and feet.

But he didn’t just put himself in handcuffs, he climbed inside a bright-red human-sized sack.

He had to swim with a body roll motion, which made him look like a giant hotdog in boiling water.

Footage of him swimming was uploaded to News Blagoevgrad YouTube channel and is extremely weird.

So far, it has been viewed more than 50,000 times.

As we read in a report from Dan Gartland for Sports Illustrated, Petkov swam 3.37km across Macedonia’s Lake Ohrid.

The feat took him about three hours.

Why would you want to do this?

We don’t know how to answer this question. 

But old mate set out to do it and he bloody well went out and did it. 

Surely that’s inspiring, right?
