Spanish police dogs played Mozart after their kennels get luxe makeover

Spanish police dogs are being treated to classic music to help them combat the stresses of fighting crime.

Keeping the baddies off the streets is a tough job, so these woofers need to be able to unwind when they clock off.

So the Madrid Municipal Police force have decked out their kennels with the latest kit to make them more comfortable.

As we learned from a Spanish police media release, the canine unit are now enjoying heated beds to keep them as comfy as possible.

Their sweet new digs also feature a green play area for them to run around in when they’re not on the job.

The facilities also include a “centre for bathing and hygienic care”, which we’re choosing to interpret as a “doggie day spa”.

But the best part about this whole thing is the classical music that is played to the woofers to help them wind down.

“The technique used is the so-called Mozart Effect and consists of playing the animals several times throughout the day classical music, always depending on the services they have and the specific needs of the animals,” a police spokesperson said.

“Municipal Police also uses other techniques of environmental enrichment or with toys, with the aim of reducing stress in the animals as much as possible.”

All dogs are good dogs, but these dogs deserve only the best.
