A teenage British racing driver has one-upped Daniel Ricciardo’s “shoey”, by doing a “leggy” to celebrate his recent placing.

Billy Monger capped off his third place win at the Spa Francorchamps this weekend by drinking out of one his prosthetic legs on the podium.

The 19-year-old was inspired by Ricciardo’s extremely Aussie way of celebrating a podium finish, which involves drinking some champs out of his shoe.

Video of the iconic moment was posted to Twitter by Calin racing.

And the bold move has won Monger even more fans.

“Genuinely one of the most inspirational athletes on the planet right now,” Irish radio personality Carl Mullan tweeted.

Monger lost both legs after an horrific crash in April 2017.

The teenager was taken to hospital in a critical condition, with doctors unable to save his crushed legs.

Both lower legs were amputated, but Monger was determined to get back behind the wheel and on the racing track.

He did just that over the weekend.
