Burger King Japan unveils devilish red hamburger
... yummy? (Images: Burger King Japan)
When Burger King Japan brought us the fiendish-looking but apparently-pleasant-tasting black cheeseburger last year, we all recoiled and said "They'll never top that."
We were so, so wrong.
This year, the hamburger giant has unveiled a red burger. (Red!)
The Aka Samuari burger ("aka" is the Japanese word for red) has a red bun, red cheese, and "angry" red sauce.

Its chicken and beef fillings are, thankfully, still chicken and beef coloured:
The black Kuro Shogun ("kuro" is Japanese for black), with black bun, black cheese and black sauce, remains on the menu. Though it looks like what would happen to a burger if you murdered it then resurrected it using a zombie spellbook, taste testers reported it was actually "not bad".
Time to start looking forward to whatever cuckoo burger colour Burger King Japan unleashes on the world next year. (Prediction: blue or green seem like obvious, albeit highly unappetising, contenders.)
