Later in the discussion, however, the women moved on to lighter topics, with DeGeneres touching on Oprah's driving skills which, the iconic interviewer will admit, are not all that great.

"Gayle [King] was in here not long ago and was talking about how this will be the 15th anniversary of your road trip together," DeGeneres told Oprah.

"She was complaining about your driving and how you won't play music when you drive," she added as the audience began to laugh and Oprah betrayed a knowing look.

"That is true. I don't play music when I drive because it confuses my brain when I'm merging," Oprah responded.

"I'm afraid that the cars are coming and they're going to kill me. So it takes me a long time to merge, I have to concentrate, the people behind me are not very happy. I am not the best driver, I'm safe on two-lane highways, but I might not ride with me if I were me."

And it's not just bigger trips that Oprah fears when she's driving, as it's getting to the point that the former celebrity talk show host cannot make trips to her local stores without feeling uncomfortable with her ability to drive.

"I left home to go to Target the other day because we were doing a special Mother's Day celebration, so I went to Target but somebody had to drive me because I couldn't get on the highway to do it myself. But I don't want to be one of those people!" she said.
