New Zealand’s Kiwi voices voted as world’s sexiest accent
The sexiest accent in the world has been revealed – and it’s not what you might expect, bru.
Global travel website Big7 Travel conducted an international poll to settle the battle of the vocal chords once and for all, and our friendly Kiwi neighbours from New Zealand topped the list.
Typically known for its beautiful landscapes and culture, Kiwis can now add the world’s most beautiful-sounding voices to their list of national attractions.

That’s right, the accent described by Big7 as the “Newzild” dialect overcame the South African, Irish, Italian – and even French – inflections.
As for Australia? Well, we came in at fifth above both Scotland and France for our “real turn on” slow pronunciation.
Our friendly neighbours on the island nation have typically been known for their beautiful landscapes and cultures - but now they can add the world's most attractive voices to their list of national draw cards. AAP
