Brazilian shopkeeper’s ‘security device’ looks like something from Home Alone
This is what happens when you start taking security inspiration from Kevin McAllister.
A Brazilian shopkeeper came up with his own anti-robber device, planting it in his cash draw to catch thieves.
And add a bit of tinsel and it could be something Macaulay Calkin’s “Operation Ho Ho Ho” protection plan in Home Alone.

It seems this shopkeeper was against some sticky bandits – “sticky” because apparently they kept sticking their mitts in his cash draw.
“The distrust started when I realized that money was missing from my box,” the shopkeeper said.
“Then some clients started to tell us that we should put cameras in the store.

But his wife wasn’t content with security footage, wanting to catch the thief red-handed.
“So we had the idea of putting a mousetrap in the box,” the shopkeeper said.
…yeah, we know.
He recorded video above to demonstrate how his “security device” worked.
Judge its effectiveness for yourself.
