VIDEO: The full trailer for IT the movie has dropped and people have opinions

We're truly sorry if you have a legit phobia of clowns, or have a general but deep-seated mistrust for the whacky guys with painted faces.

Because there's not going to be much chance of you escaping the publicity for the latest adaption for Stephen King's horror classic IT.

The second preview dropped on Thursday, and already the full-length trailer from Warner Bros. Pictures has cracked the two million mark for views.

Yep, it's going bonkers.

With a bunch of dark, jumpy moments and a "you'll float too" remix, it has many convinced it is the scariest trailer of all time:

"This is scarier than the regular trailer wow, I got startled several time[s]," YouTuber Jorge Delgado said.

But some people weren't impressed:

"Yay! Another jump scare filled horror movie with no actually scary things in it just loud noises that make you jump," YouTuber DPSWidow said.

"I swear this looks more like a comedy than a horror film," Khaotickhoal said.

"Oh, boo!  Looks like they "fixed" one of the must subtle and horrifying effects from the last trailer... Wrong answer, Warner Bros!," nacidocoqui said.

And there were a few snarky Twitter users who also fell into that camp.

But whether you come from the "dis is scary" or "dis is crappola" camp over the trailer, we can all appreciate it for the memes it gave birth to, specifically the scary moment at 2:16 of the clip.

It didn't take long for people to apply it to other situations, with the YouTube comments section quickly filling with 2:16 jokes.

Here are just a handful:

"2:16 When you take out a pack of gum during class ," from Hotdog Guy.

"2:16 when McDonalds brings back the mcrib ," from BreakOps.

"2:16 When you see your sibling taking your food," from Iso Evolution.

"2:16 when they don't got chicken nuggets ," from James Fatale.

This comes after the scary moment at same time stamp in the first trailer gave rise to a whooooole lot of similar comments when preview dropped in March.

"2:16. When you're late to all the 2:16 memes ," JLT1998 aptly puts it.

Some people reckon the scare at 2:16 in the second trailer was an intentional move by Warner Bros.

Which, if true, might make this a very successful trailer indeed.

The film will hit cinemas on September 7.
