Grown man spits the dummy after losing to a bunch of kids

BBC show Robot Wars is serious business, alright?

You may think it's just a bunch of nerds playing with robots, but it's more than that.

There's so much at stake. Pride. Glory. A title that would impress all of 47 people in the entire world.

So when you lose, it's hard to take.

But few competitors have taken a loss as hard as Ant, captain of Team Beremoth.

Ant and his veteran team featured on this week's episode, when they were pitted against Team Cherub, which is manned by three kids.

Their team captain Sarah is just 12-years-old.

Also on the team is Rosie, 12, Toby, 13, and Mark – who is the oldest of the crew at age 26.

And wouldn't you know it, the little guys won.

But instead of copping the judges' decision on the chin, Ant couldn't stand it and stalked off dramatically.

Later, after composing himself, he talked us through the emotional walk.

"Putting a grabber of that type on to the robot for a critical match was a very poor decision," he said.

"The main reason I walked out there was because I was so annoyed at the rest of the team for making that decision.

"Sometimes innovation doesn't pay out.

"It's best to use what you know works."

Clearly, democracy just doesn't work.

Unfortunately, suffering a loss at the hand of incompetent bumbling imbeciles isn't the only disaster Ant had to endure.

Because being a grown man and storming off after losing to a bunch of kids puts you at risk of a serious roasting online.

A clip of Ant's explanation was posted on YouTube by Ant's explanation captioned with, "I Would Have Gotten Away With It Too If It Weren't For You Meddling Kids".

And the people of Twitter clearly had to put in their two cents:

And some people even backed up Ant, disagreeing with the judge's decision.

"Cherub winning that was such BS. It did nothing but get thrown around for the whole match then stopped working," YouTuber Lord Woffingshir said, commenting on the BBC's footage from the show.

And apparently Ant wasn't the only one getting "emotional" over the decision.

"How did the Cherubs win!? This was f--king fixed, the judges should be sacked," YouTuber darkfight light said.

Look, we're not going to weigh in on who should have won and who should have lost.

But we think the internet was the real winner in this match.

Because this is the best English tantrum we've seen since Colin Craven, who was "not sour".
