This week, Front Row caught up with AFL royalty to talk wedding bells (and future babies!), survived a very distracting delivery from a shirtless scientist, and powered through a technical disaster with Aussie pop royalty. Safe to say, it’s been another wild week on the celeb beat.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s Zoom disaster (and our embarrassing confession)

When one of our Front Row reporters found out they were interviewing Natalie Bassingthwaighte, they had one non-negotiable mission: tell her that her 2008 solo banger Alive is the greatest pop song of all time.

It’s been nearly 20 years since the techno anthem dropped, but it still holds a sacred place in every Aussie kid's heart. Excited to confess our undying love, we eagerly jumped on the Zoom call.

The first few minutes went smoothly as we chatted about Rogue Traders’ new single and what it was like working with Dannii Minogue (“She was deeply involved without being pushy,” Nat shared). But then... disaster struck.

Nat’s Wi-Fi completely gave up the ghost. After a chaotic few minutes of cutting in and out – with Rogue Traders bandmate James Ash valiantly trying to play tech support – Nat had no choice but to turn her camera off completely.

Undeterred by the blank screen, our reporter seized their moment at the end of the chat.

“Nat, I just have to tell you that Alive went multi-platinum in my house – I listened to that song every single day for ten years,” they confessed.

James Ash immediately burst into joyous laughter, and while we couldn't see Nat’s face, a warm voice floated back: “Aww, that's so good, thank you very much.”

Camera fail aside, we consider it a major win for 2000s nostalgia!

The AFL star, the model, and a subtle hint at baby news...

Everyone knows a couple that seems almost too good to be real – they’re totally head-over-heels, completely in sync, and look like they walked straight off the set of a rom-com.

Well, after jumping on a call with AFL star Josh Daicos and model Annalise Dalins, Front Row can confirm they are that couple.

The pair have spent the last two years planning their upcoming wedding, and despite Daicos’s brutal AFL schedule, he’s been right there in the trenches with Dalins. We love a modern man!

“It’s all really new to us. We actually have never been to a wedding ourselves, so it’s been a lot of fun planning,” Josh admitted to Front Row, before dropping a very intriguing line.

“It brings a lot of excitement to us because we know what the day brings, but then also what it brings after...”

Wait... is that a subtle hint at babies?! Josh did go on to confess he’s super keen to start a family of his own with Annalise, and honestly, those will be some genetically blessed kids.

Listening to them talk, it’s impossible not to swoon.

He’s always letting her speak first, she finishes his thoughts, and they’re always finding little ways to talk each other up – especially Daicos.

“There's a three-year age gap between us, and I always forget it because I just feel like Anna's always been really mature,” he said of his younger wife-to-be.

“She handles new experiences or pressures in her life extremely well, she always has the right answers, she’s always comfortable in front of the camera. I’m always so impressed and just so happy to be her partner.”

Josh couldn’t stop raving about his wife-to-be’s maturity, while Annalise gushed about having him so involved in the wedding planning process. Consider our faith in true love officially restored.

A reality star and a 'shirtless' scientist crash the office

Working at one of Australia’s biggest entertainment sites means we get our fair share of wild deliveries, but this week’s arrival officially set a new record (and raised a few eyebrows from our boss).

Love Island royalty Tina Provis rocked up to the office to deliver limited-edition cruffins (that’s a croissant-muffin hybrid, for the uninitiated) to celebrate Prime Video’s The Love Hypothesis.

But she didn’t come alone – she brought a “hunky” shirtless scientist along for the ride.

Decked out in a hot pink lab coat, Tina confided her biggest fear wasn't dropping the delicate pastries, but rather that someone would mistake her for an actual medical doctor.

As she unveiled the delicious pink mess of strawberry rose jam and cremeux, she admitted it closely mirrored her current dating life.

"A lot has happened just over the past 40 hours," she sighed of her latest situationship.

As for the shirtless 'scientist'? Look, between his completely open lab coat and hot-guy mumbles, we honestly couldn't tell you a single word he said.
