VIDEO: Dog does not want to be a father

This dog is not ready to become a father.

This North Carolina golden retriever's owners set up the camera ready to record the first time their furry mate met his little ones.

Sweet, loving dog meets his puppy for the first time.

That sounds like a beautiful moment, right?

Instead it's a video chronicling the kind of rejection this puppy is going to need years of therapy to move on from.  

Because this guy really, really doesn't want to be a daddy.

The golden retriever flat out refuses to acknowledge his puppy.

Instead, he decided the best response would be to hide from his parental responsibilities.

And while he must have been physically mature enough to, ahem, father a child, it's clear that he's just not emotionally ready.

Because dealing with your adult responsibilities by straight-up ignoring them and laying on the couch isn't the right way to approach this whole grown up thing.

Unfortunately, that's the only strategy most of us have got, however, and our very real, grown-up responsibilities haven't gone away.

Mind you, if our only responsibilities were puppy-related, we'd probably be significantly less bitter human beings.
