The mugshot that reveals alleged David Schwimmer lookalike thief isn’t so similar
He’s the alleged shoplifter that shot to viral fame for his uncanny resemblance to Friends star David Schwimmer.
But it turns out Abdulah Husseini isn’t as much of a “lookalike” as the world first thought.
Lancashire Police in the United Kingdom yesterday released a mugshot of the alleged runaway thief, after he failed to appear in a Blackpool court last month to face multiple charges.

Husseini’s image became world-famous moments after authorities first published a CCTV camera shot of a man carrying a carton of cans from a restaurant.
His striking visual similarity to Schwimmer set the internet alight, as social media users highlighted the hilarity of ‘Ross from Friends’ getting away with the alleged theft.
The online commotion caused from the resemblance was so vocal, even Schwimmer himself created a parody video of the incident and posted it to Twitter.
A mugshot released by UK police after Husseini failed to appear in court last month, however, has exposed his true appearance - and it's nothing similar to Schwimmer. AAP
“Officers, I swear it wasn’t me,” he said in the post.
“As you can see, I was in New York.”
An arrest warrant that was issued last month for Husseini remains outstanding following his missed court appearance.
