Morning commute turns into adorable traffic stop for Queensland police officer

Here’s just another reminder for you to be switched on when you hop behind the wheel for your morning commute.

Because, as this Queensland police officer’s dash-cam footage shows, you just never know when you’ll have to pull up unexpectedly.

Senior Constable Reid was cruising along a country road west of Gatton, in Queensland’s south-east when there was an unexpected hold up on the road.

A koala was just hanging out on the road.

It was just after 6am, so perhaps the little fella was a bit dazed after waking up so early.

Officer Reid put on his police lights, hopped out of the car and used his superior bush policing skills to shepherd old mate off the road.

The vision was shared on the Queensland Police Service Facebook page on Monday afternoon, which of course sparked a whooole bunch of koala-ty chimes in the comment section.
