VIDEO: Real or fake, this trust exercise is too much

Dannielle Maguire

How much do you trust your co-workers?

Well if you're these guys, you want to really, really trust the people you're working with.

Video, which the Multidimensional Video Collection DWNEWS YouTube channel claims shows soldiers in China's People's Liberation Army shooting apples off their comrades’ heads, shows that trust is not a game.

"Three people were conducting high-risk shooting training, with a pistol shooting sitting on the helmet about 20 metres outside the helmet of the apple," the video description reads, after being re-worked by Google Translate.

"The instructor in the film said that such training [showed] the 'excellent level of shooting' of the shooter and the trust between his comrades."

The clip has clocked up some 7,000 views since it was posted on Tuesday.

Now sure, we'd like to believe this.

And we're not saying it's fake.

Buuuuut you have to be pretty wary about this kind of thing, and wonder how, even in China, an army officer would get clearance to order troops to shoot live ammo at their comrades.

If this "training video" proves to be legit, that's got to be the most intense trust test ever and really puts those trust falls you've been made to do at team bonding retreats to shame.

Most of us can't even trust our colleagues well enough to leave our lunch in the fridge without naming our Tupperware.

But letting Ted from accounts shoot a live bullet at you?

That's probably a bit much.
