Willow Smith's archery Instagram video is empowering for so many reasons

Willow Smith isn't about to be put in a box.

As well as singing, modelling, dancing, and acting, the 16-year-old daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is also a keen archer, are her skills are really something.

If you're not already following the 'Whip My Hair' singer on Instagram, she's been giving her 2.3 million followers regular updates on her archery evolution since January. And clearly, her practice is paying off.

Sharing a clip to Instagram on Friday, Willow can be seen drawing a bow and taking aim at the target.

Dressed in denim overalls with her hair pulled back, Willow captioned the clip, "#archeryaddict."  

Fans were quick to voice their delight at the young star's skills (and "bomb" outfit) though sadly, a few were critical of Willow's underarm hair with many labelling it "vile" and "yuck".   

"Shave you're [sic] armpits that's disgusting," one commented.

While another wrote, "You better shave it" and later, "Sorry, but you're disgusting." 

But her loyal followers fought back in numbers.

"What is really disgusting about this post is the dumb people saying in the comments that she is disgusting," one fan wrote. "Wtf dude you wouldn't say that if she was a he. You all make me sick."

Many of them highlighted Willow's confidence and even complimented her on her underarm hair, which by the way, is completely normal and natural (and frankly, nobody else's business).

"Willow has everyone SHOOK. because of her confidence and bodily acceptance," one person commented. "Y'all are all weak b----es."

And a personal favourite:

"Girl your armpits are cute no joke I love it."
