Here are our picks for a few addictive new shows streaming on Stan in June.

Perpetual Grace

Australians Jacki Weaver and Damon Herriman star in Stan's brand new neo-noir thriller Perpetual Grace, which premieres on June 3, express from the US.

Set in a Bible Belt town of contemporary New Mexico, it follows a con artist attempting to scam a local pastor and his wife.

However, the seemingly pious couple turn out to be pretty dangerous swindlers in their own right, having used religion to con hundreds of innocent people out of their life savings.

City on a Hill

Kevin Bacon returns to TV on June 17 with City on a Hill, a gripping drama set in early 1990s Boston when the city was rife with violent criminals and corrupt law enforcement.

Executive produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and based on an original idea by Affleck, it sees Bacon star as a corrupt but respected FBI veteran who teams up with an assistant district attorney to subvert Boston's entire criminal justice system.

VIDA

Heartwarming and raw, VIDA tells the story of two estranged Mexican-American sisters who are reunited following their mother's death.

Making their way back home to East Los Angeles, the women are confronted with the changing Latino neighbourhood they grew up in, as well as some bombshells from their late mother's estate.

The award-winning drama has just returned for its second season, so now is the perfect time to fall in love with VIDA.

Catch-22

George Clooney stars as war-obsessed General Scheisskopf in Stan's Catch 22, the drama series he also executive produces and directs. 

The television adaptation of the Joseph Heller novel follows an American air force captain on his quest to stay alive throughout the B-25 bombing missions in Italy during World War II. It's absurdly funny, exploring the dark side of war with a uniquely humorous spin.

The Spanish Princess

This 16th century tale of royal treachery explores the soap opera that was the Tudor dynasty.

Specifically, The Spanish Princess tells the story of Catherine of Aragon, the Spanish Catholic royal who married both Prince Arthur and his younger brother Henry.

The historic drama picks up where previous series The White Queen and The White Princess left off. If you're yet to watch them, stop what you're doing and get thee to Stan immediately to catch up!

The Bold Type

Since premiering last year, Australians have become obsessed with The Bold Type, which has recently returned to Stan for its third season.

For the uninitiated, the show follows three ambitious best friends as they navigate the world of women's magazines in a post #metoo climate. 

Inspired by true events, The Bold Type sees fashion, friendship and feminism collide amidst the glamorous backdrop of New York City. 

Billions 

Billions is back and better than ever, with Season 4 of the hit Wall Street drama about to come to a climax.

Co-created by former New York Times reporter Andrew Ross Sorkin, the show is loosely based on the activities of a former US Attorney and his legal battles with a prominent hedge fund manager. 

Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis are compelling in their portrayal of two of the richest men in New York, locked in an intense and scandalous battle for power.
