WATCH: Joel Edgerton tells TheFIX he's 'always in therapy'
He's written and played some very troubled characters, so it's no surprise Joel Edgerton might want a session or two on a shrink's couch.
So when TheFIX asked the 40-year-old if he needed therapy after writing the intense psychological thriller Felony… well, he totally agreed. Watch the interview above to find out more.
The 40-year-old started writing the script for the Aussie flick six years ago as a short film but it wasn't until Mathew Saville got on board as director that the film began to take form.
And we can see why! Joel's character of a guilt-ridden police officer in the midst of a hit-and-run cover up is a pretty dark tale to tell on your own.
Check out the trailer below to see for yourself!
Felony is out now in Australian cinemas.
