'Wasted' Ray Liotta spits out gum, sparks concern over 'waxwork face' during TV appearance

It's been 26 years since Ray Liotta shot to fame in 1990's mob flick Goodfellas, so he’s bound to have changed a bit over the decades…but this is just weird.

The 61-year-old actor made an appearance on Good Morning Britain to promote his cop drama Shades of Blue, but the interview was overshadowed by the iconic star's bizarre behaviour and changed appearance. 

Viewers took to Twitter to voice their concerns, expressing shock over his slurred speech, "waxwork face" and one moment in the clip above where he is seen spitting out is gum. Eww.

"Dear @GMB," one viewer wrote. "Your producer appears to have booked the waxwork of Ray Liotta and nobody has noticed."

Others slammed the producers for letting the actor appear on air in the first place.

"Was Ray Liotta slurring words very bad?" one viewer tweeted. “If so, very wrong to put him on."

Most comments predictably focused on his changed appearance.

"What's happened to Ray Liotta," @kingof_fools wrote. “He looks like my Grandma."

But the real kicker was when the actor deadpanned his praise for the BBC, despite appearing on ITV.

"BBC, we have that in America," he said. "That's the best in terms of watching news."
