On his social media accounts on Wednesday, his team shared an update that the actor is getting "the best possible care."
"Asking you to keep Verne in your thoughts and prayers," the message read. "He’s getting the best care possible and is resting comfortably. Appreciate the support from family, friends and fans around the world. We will keep you updated here."
Troyer, best known for playing Mini-Me in the Austin Powers films, previously discussed his plans to enter a rehab program last April.
"As you know, I’ve battled alcohol addiction in the past and while it’s not always been an easy fight, I’m willing to continue my fight day by day," he said at the time.
Most recently, he has been active through his YouTube channel.
