Todd McKenney's sister and her husband fire back after he revealed that she wed his ex-boyfriend

Tensions haven't quite settled between Todd McKenney, his ex-boyfriend Simon Gallaher, and wife Lisa.

Simon and Lisa have fired back after the Dancing with the Stars, 54, judge revealed in an interview over the weekend, for the first time, that he previously had a five-year relationship with Gallaher, 59, a singer and musical theatre producer. Speaking on the Word for Word podcast on Melbourne's Joy 94.9, McKenney said that after they split, Gallaher went on to marry his sister Lisa.

Simon and Lisa both took to their respective Facebook pages to address McKenney, according to Channel Seven's The Daily Edition, with Simon reportedly calling McKenney a "headline whore."

The Facebook message reportedly read: "Todd McKenney is a headline wh--e. Shame on him. His sister on the other hand is the love of my life and wife of over 31 years. I love her to the end of the world."

Lisa, too, admonished McKenney, who had previously sad they were not close.

Daily Edition's Peter Ford reported on Tuesday that he had contacted Simon and Lisa's daughter, Gigi, and she said she was "very unhappy with Uncle Todd for putting this out publicly."

In his interview with Ben Norris on Word for Word, McKenney had said his relationship with Lisa was like "chalk and cheese" and that she never addressed the marriage with him directly.

Instead, he found out about the relationship from his fellow performers on the set of Cats.

"I remember I was doing Cats and there was a newspaper banner outside the newsagency, and it said, 'Simon's love child,'" McKenney recalled.

"I didn't know anything about that, but I got into my dressing room and the other guys in the show said, 'What about Simon and Lisa?' And I went, 'Which Simon?' They said, 'Simon Gallaher.' I said, 'Lisa who?' And they said, 'Your sister!'"

"I went, 'What?!' I didn't even know they knew each other," he admitted in the podcast. "They got married and have got three kids and I'm close to their kids."

McKenney said he kept the family secret for so long out of respect for Lisa and Simon's children, who are "grown up now" and "know the stories."
