'The Project' host Tommy Little, 33, flirts up a storm with Jane Fonda, 80, in live TV interview

Jane Fonda may be 80 years old but she's still got it. Without even trying, the Hollywood legend charmed The Project co-host host Tommy Little, who was so mesmerised by her appearance on the show last night that he couldn't take his eyes off her.

The 33-year-old panellist unashamedly threw praise Fonda's way not once, but a handful of times throughout her 10-minute segment to promote her new comedy, Book Club -- and it was sort of awkward.

"I can't believe that I'm sitting here next to Jane Fonda," Little said after the star was introduced on the show. Later in the segment, he also made the comment, "This is such a thrill for me. What is the secret? You are the most stunning person on the planet."

But Little really raised eyebrows with his cheeky comment following Fonda's revelation that she once slept in a fancy frock after a function. When co-host Sarah Harris asked the actress about an Instagram photo she posted while making toast in the same ball gown, Fonda's hilarious anecdote kicked off a flirt-fest with Little.

"I live alone now, I've had three husbands and I'm finally on my own now," said the star. "I went to this fancy dress party with this incredible sequinned dress and when I got home, I couldn't unzip it."

So she was forced to sleep in her dress until her staff arrived the next morning, but Little was still in disbelief that no one was around to unzip Fonda's gown.

"I never thought we'd live in world where Jane Fonda couldn't find someone to take her dress off," said Little, before cosying up to Fonda and wrapping his arms around her -- a moment he later posted to Instagram.

The set got so steamy that The Project's sometime panelist, actress Jane Hall, playfully ribbed Little for his antics.

"You have taken 'Toy Boy' to a new level, my friend," Hall commented on his Instagram photo. And she wasn't alone the only one. Here were the mixed reactions:
