The Bachelor host Osher Günsberg announces unborn baby's gender in game-show style reveal

Osher Günsberg had a gender reveal party on the weekend and it was as suspenseful as a Bachelor rose ceremony.

The Bachelor Australia host and his wife, Audrey Griffen, celebrated their upcoming arrival at the Bronte SLSC in Sydney on Sunday, where his 15-year-old stepdaughter, Georgia, played emcee — and it's clear she's picked up some hosting skills from him over the years.

"G then proceeded to run a most high-tension game-show style reveal moment, of such drawn-out drama that the Network Execs in the room were probably considering a new 6pm pre-prime show," Günsberg proudly gushed on Instagram.

"Turns out that twelve weeks ago, the envelope that we were given after our Harmony Test, which G has kept secret this entire time (as much as we tried to trip her up looking for pronouns and slip-ups, she was a vault!) shows that the baby growing within Audrey indeed has XY chromosomes."

That's right, a boy! But judging by the pink clothes they were wearing, it seems the couple thought their unborn baby — who will arrive in a few weeks' time — was a girl.⠀

"Because G wanted to get a read of the room, we were all encouraged to wear the colour that showed which way we thought the result would go. Seems wifey and I got it wrong,” Günsberg said.

Last year's Bachelor finalist Brittany Hockley — who was controversially dumped by Nick Cummins at the final rose ceremony — was quick to congratulate Günsberg on the happy announcement.

"Congrats you beautiful humans! So happy for you," she wrote. "Sorry I couldn't make it in I had to work."

Meanwhile, Günsberg's good mate Larry Emdur also expressed his well wishes.

"Huge , nah , Massively Huge congrats you two lovers xxx," he wrote.
