Fans think Gigi Hadid's baby name was revealed on Taylor Swift's new album

Ever since Gigi Hadid gave birth to her daughter in September, she's kept her name a secret. But some very astute fans think they've figured it out.

There's a theory going around Twitter that Hadid's daughter, whom she shares with Zayn Malik, is named Dorothea, thanks to a song on Taylor Swift's new album Evermore.

If that sounds a bit farfetched, you should know it's something Swift has done before. On Folklore she revealed the name of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's third child, Betty, before it was announced to the public. Swift named three characters after their three kids: James, Inez and Betty.

So how have they jumped to this conclusion? A few weeks ago, Hadid shared a few personal photos from her pregnancy, including one with her boyfriend Malik. She captioned it the upload: "August, waiting for our girl."

Swift has a song on Folklore called 'August' which is track eight. It's sister track on Evermore is called 'Dorothea'.

The song 'Dorothea' is described by Swift as being about "a girl who left her small town to chase down Hollywood dreams".

In a YouTube premiere chat before the album was released, Swift said that she always imagined that the character Dorothea went to the same school as Betty, James, and Inez. This could be her way of connecting all her friends' kids.

For now, it's just a theory –– neither Swift nor Hadid have addressed the rumours. But we do know that Swift loves leaving sneaky hints in her music, and this wouldn't even be the most extreme example of that.

The only thing that pokes a hole in this theory is that Swift revealed 'Dorothea' was the first song she wrote for the album. And if Hadid gave birth in September, that means Swift completed the whole record in two months.
