TV star Tamar Braxton has been hospitalised after she was found unresponsive in a hotel room

Singer and reality TV star Tamar Braxton has been hospitalised after she was found unresponsive in a hotel room.

According to TMZ, the 43-year-old was discovered at the Ritz Carlton hotel in downtown Los Angeles at approximately 10pm local time on Thursday, July 16.

The Blast reported that Braxton was found by her boyfriend David Adefeso.

The LAPD confirmed to The Blast that officers responded to a call at the hotel around 9:45pm local time and that the individual was taken to hospital.

Braxton and Adefeso's show Coupled & Quarantined, which they livestream on YouTube, did not air as planned on Thursday night.

Instead, Coupled & Quarantined posted a 10-minute video statement explaining that Braxton was "not feeling well" and that the show would be postponed.

"Hello y'all, unfortunately your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today's show (don't worry it's not COVID)," the post said.

"We're sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week's show is going to be even bigger and better. So sorry for the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. We'll make it up to you next week."

A spokesperson for the reality star issued a statement to The Blast: "Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day — more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her."

Sources told The Blast that Braxton is still unconscious but that she is in a stable condition. She is currently under 24-hour watch at the hospital where she is receiving treatment.

Braxton stars in the upcoming show Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life! which follows her through her career, her love life and motherhood all while she records a new album.

Best known for her reality series Braxton Family Values, the younger sister of legendary R&B singer Toni Braxton was also last year's winner of the U.S. version of Celebrity Big Brother.

Braxton and Adefeso first went public with their relationship in April 2019. The YouTube star shares a seven-year-old son with her ex-husband Vince Herbert.
