Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy shut down 'fake' relationship rumours: 'I’ve never been that guy'

Sophie Monk has shut down rumours that her relationship with The Bachelorette winner Stu Laundy is fake.

The 37-year-old and her new man appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, and denied that they were contractually obliged to remain in a relationship for a certain amount of time.

"My manager’s too good for that crap," the singer-turned-TV personality told Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson. "No way. I wouldn’t do it. I was happy to choose no one if I didn’t find anyone [on The Bachelorette]."

Since declaring their love for each other on the pre-recorded finale episode of The Bachelorette last Thursday, speculation ran rife that Sophie and Stu, 44, had since split.

The reason: Their body language.

The fact that the pair haven’t shown much affection during the media rounds that have followed the finale has caused a number of TV and radio personalities to declare that their relationship isn't all roses.

But Soph and Stu say they’re happily together. They just don't want to pash in public!

"I’ve got four daughters, they come first to me," Stu said in the radio interview. "I’m not going to be out and proud ... So I’m sorry, I’m not going to be a public display of affection guy. I’ve never been that guy."

But that doesn’t mean that Soph and Stu are exempt a bit of Instagram flirting!

Last night, the former Bardot singer shared a photo of herself that was taken on the set of the finale episode. In it, she wears a red dress and was waiting for Stu to arrive on their final date.

"When you're trying to look hot but your feet are burning on the sand," she captioned the gram. "It was worth it because I fell in love."

Stu immediately left a comment on Soph’s photo.

"Who with? @sophiemonk" he asked, to which she promptly replied "the dress" along with a crying laughing emoji.

"Don’t blame you," he responded, with a kiss emoji.

She commented: "Don’t worry babe you can borrow it" 😜

"I've got it on now 😉," he said.

Ah, young love.
