Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart have struck up one of the most unlikely but wholesome friendships in Hollywood over the past decade.

From roasting Justin Bieber to co-hosting their own celebrity cooking show, the famous duo might be chalk and cheese but their friendship is certainly one for the books.

"My homegirl, Martha, and I have a special bond that goes back," Snoop, 52, once told The Hollywood Reporter about their long-lasting friendship.

Most recently, the famous friends celebrated Stewart's 83rd birthday together in Paris where they stepped out for a day of watching dressage together at the Olympics.

They're now one of the most iconic celebrity friendships out there, but there was one very specific thing about Snoop that endeared him to Stewart the first time they met.

Nearly 16 years ago, the celebrity chef brought Snoop on as a special guest for the first time on her eponymous cooking show in 2008.

"Our relationship was born from our connection to food as we whipped up some cognac mashed potatoes and green brownies," she wrote in a foreword for Snoop's cookbook.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated for her 2023 cover, Stewart admitted that what really charmed her to the rapper "first of all, was his giggle".

"And his quest for learning! He is a real student, and that's what really appealed to me."

Years later while reflecting on their first ever appearance together on daytime television, Stewart joked to NBC: "What an odd couple we were".

As for the music icon, he knew their friendship was one for the long haul after they both roasted musician Justin Bieber for a Comedy Central special in 2015.

"She sat next to me and she stole the show. She was the funniest roaster that night. In that moment I knew I wanted to be alongside this lady for the rest of my life," Snoop told NBC with Stewart sitting next to him.

After that, the rest is history and the duo have been an iconic staple in popular culture.

In 2016 the pair turned their hilarious dynamic into their very own VH1 cooking show.

With the perfect mix of Stewart's cooking skills and Snoop's hilarious commentary, the pair got two seasons of their series Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party.

The friends reunited in 2021 to co-host the Puppy Bowl and were clearly such a hit that they were brought back as hosts the next year.

When Stewart launched her own eponymous podcast in 2022, it was of course only fitting that her first guest should be none other than her longtime bestie, Snoop.

The pair have been friends for years now.

Stewart and Snoop's friendship is still going strong in 2024, with the pair making quite the splash at the Paris Olympics in their matching equestrian outfits.

"Snoop called me and said he knows I know horses, and he's a little fearful of horses," the cook shed light to NBC on why Snoop invited her along.

In a very wholesome video posted by TODAY, the celebrity chef complimented her bestie on his beret, holding his hand and adorably calling him "my darling".
